Record February At Airport 8 March 2004 This was an all-time record February, even after taking into account the extra
Leap Day this year.
Once again the month contained some fundamental changes in airline activity,
with Eastern Airways taking over from BA CitiExpress on the Birmingham route.
Also Aer Arann ceased the Prestwick route, but remain on the Dublin route (with
Euromanx) following the withdrawal of BA CitiExpress. On the Liverpool route BA
CitiExpress reduced their service to two flights a day, but Euromanx increased
their number of aircraft seats to compensate and the route showed 10% growth.
So BA CitiExpress now have 51% of all passengers, followed by Euromanx with 19%
and Flyby with 18%. Eastern Airways are fourth with 5%.
