Youth & Community Division retains recognition as an Investor in People 14 December 2005

WELL DONE to all the staff at the Department of Education Youth & Community Division in retaining recognition as an Investor in People. The Division was first recognised as an Investor in People back in 2002. The Division received a detailed follow up report from the Assessor, which was full of supportive comments.

Youth & Community Adviser Mike Clague said he was very pleased that the work of the staff to deliver high quality services had been recognised in this way, as it was through their work that the Division could engage with young people and adults to develop their potential and support the growth of a caring and tolerant community.
He added “The Division is fortunate to have enthusiastic and committed teams in all four services. Investors in People have helped us to continually review how we involve staff in training, personal and service development, and in evaluating what we do. In particular I would like to thank our mentor Mike Justice for his encouragement, and for sharing with us the good practice of schools and other organisations.”
