System of Tax Reliefs for Individuals in the Isle of Man - Consultation Response 19 June 2006

Treasury has today published a response to the consultation on the System of Tax Reliefs for Individuals in the Isle of Man.

The consultation period ran from 12 January to 10 March 2006, during which interested parties were invited to express their views on the tax deductions and reliefs currently available and to indicate whether they felt that a particular deduction should be retained, removed or amended in some way.

Treasury is grateful to those people and organisations who took the time to respond. This response document lists general and specific comments made, and, under the heading ‘Conclusions and Future Review’, sets out Treasury’s proposals.
