Self-adhesive stamps are back in town this Christmas 2 October 2006

ChristmasTrees The 31p Christmas stamp from Isle of Man Post Office

Isle of Man Post Office has got it licked when it comes to stamps this Christmas – self-stick stamp booklets are back and will be available to buy from October 11.

This is the first time the popular stamp booklets have been introduced at Christmas and Isle of Man Post Office is confident the self-adhesive stamps will be well received by customers Island-wide.

We at Isle of Man Post Office understand how busy the festive period can be, with people sending more mail than usual whether it is Christmas cards or those special gifts for loved ones, so self-adhesive stamps are when our customers need them most.

Manager of the Philatelic Bureau Dot Tilbury said:

“After popular demand the self-stick stamp booklets are back and what better time to bring them back than Christmas. We are delighted to tie into this issue the Save the Children’ Fund’s annual Festival of Trees campaign which will be staged at Ronaldsway Airport at Christmas.”

This year’s festive stamps depict the tradition of the Christmas tree and have a strong Manx theme running through the stamp issue with the Three Legs of Mann figure featuring as a Christmas decoration on each of the six Christmas tree stamps. They have been produced by Isle of Man Post Office in conjunction with the Save the Children Fund’s annual Festival of Trees campaign.

The booklets contain 10 self-stick stamps and are available in 28p and 31p values. From October 11 they can be bought at all the Island’s post offices and other retailers who sell Manx stamps.
