Free postage for mail bound to Forces personnel 7 September 2007

Isle of Man Post Office is pleased to announce with effect from Monday 10th September 2007, friends and family of HM Forces personnel will be able to send their loved ones standard letters and parcels up to 2kg to any British Forces Post Office (BFPO) address free of charge.

The expansion of the free postal service continues Isle of Man Post Office's ongoing commitment to the Forces personnel. Previously, free postage has only been available to BFPO addresses in the Gulf arena - Iraq, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman and Afghanistan.

Chairman of Isle of Man Post Office Pamela M Crowe MLC said: "We are delighted to support Forces personnel by offering free postage to BFPO addresses. Isle of Man Post Office has always been committed to the Forces and I am confident this move will be welcomed by those sending standard letters and parcels to loved ones in the Forces."
