Community Care Support Service (CCSS) gets underway 12 November 2007

A new Patient Administration System (PAS) will “Go Live” at Noble’s Hospital, Ramsey and District Cottage Hospital and Mental Health Services on Monday 12th November 2007.

Hon W.E. Teare MHK, Minister for Health and Social Security said,

“I fully support the introduction of the new Patient Administration System, which will allow us to streamline the patient process. The new system will replace our outdated and redundant system. Every effort will be made to enable a smooth transition; however, we are aware that administration may be slower than normal during this initial period.”

Barbara Scott, Acting Hospital Manager said,

“The first major improvement that the public will notice is when they attend for a clinic appointment. On arrival at the clinic, instead of taking a seat in the reception area, patients will be asked to report to a reception desk in a clinic area. Once they have been seen by a doctor, the patient will then be able to book their next appointment, if appropriate, at the reception desk before they leave the clinic.”

CCSS is a business change project to help health and care staff work more effectively, providing comprehensive information to the health professional.
