A3 Foxdale Roadworks 29 March 2012 The Department of Infrastructure advises that the next Phase of the works on the A3 Main Road Foxdale between Brookfield Bank and the Ballanass Road junction will commence on 16 April 2012. Due to good progress in the first phase, these works to resurface the carriageway will be undertaken during evening road closures to reduce disruption. The road will be closed from the Mines Road Junction to the Ballanass Road Junction from 4.30pm until 6.00am daily. The road closures will be in effect for 2 weeks or until the surfacing works are complete, whichever is the earlier. Alternative routes during the closures will be signed in advance of the works. Lhoobs Road will have a one way system and temporary weight limit from its junction with Kionslieu Hill to its junction with Archallagan Road. Bus Vannin advise that the daily school bus service continues to operate as normal. The late afternoon bus services to/from Douglas and Peel or Niarbyl via Foxdale will divert via Glen Daragh Road, Crosby and Ballacraine between Braaid Crossroads and the Hope, therefore not serving either Higher or Lower Foxdale. The evening commuter journey from Douglas to St Johns and return, terminates at Foxdale School and therefore does not serve Lower Foxdale or St Johns.
