Video of Royal visit to Peel now available to view 22 May 2012

The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture commissioned a video of the recent visit of their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall to Peel.

The video shows the Royal visitors being greeting by well wishers, meeting local food producers and tasting some of their produce, talking to farmers, launching the Isle of Man Food Park Regeneration project, sampling a fantastic array of Manx seafood and watching workers preparing scallops in the Isle of Man Seafood Products Ltd premises.

The video captures the interest shown by The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall in Manx local produce and the work being undertaken to ensure a sustainable future for Manx Queenies.

DEFA Minister Phil Gawne, MHK said: “many people played a key role in making this visit such a success so do watch the video and enjoy re-living your part in it. If you could not be in Peel on the day, you will get a very good view of what happened and might even see friends and relatives there. Agriculture and fisheries are an important part of Manx life and the economy and we can be proud that they were shown off to very good advantage during the visit”.
