Record July for Airport 4 August 2004

It was an all-time record July for Ronaldsway Airport, beating last year's record by 5.8%. The total number of passengers to pass through the airport in July was 72,738 an increase of 4,015 on last year.

The main growth areas are on the Liverpool route, up by 36% with Emerald Airways just overtaking Euromanx (Rossair) on this route; also the new route to Stansted where Euromanx (Rossair) have made a very strong start; Manchester with BA CitiExpress up by 20.7% despite the resurgence of the Liverpool route; and the Scottish routes to Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Overall BA CitiExpress remain the largest carrier with 34% of all passengers; followed by Euromanx (Rossair) with 22%; FlyBe with 14%; Emerald with 13%; Eastern with 7%; and Loganair, Aer Arann, Flykeen and British Northwest with some 2% each.
