Moly Thanks Southern Club 11 February 2004

Southern Sidecar Champion, Dave Molyneux took the opportunity during the Club's Annual Dinner to present the organisers with a framed photograph of himself and Craig Hallam, as they drove to victory in the 2003 Sidecar Championship Race.

In a brief speech at the function held at the Castletown Golf Links Hotel, the most successful sidecar driver at the Southern with fifteen victories to his credit, thanked the organisers for putting on excellent races during the twenty years he and his passengers have been competing on the Billown Course. He also praised the club for the way the meetings were run and their consideration for all competitors, whether sidecar or solo and said it was no surprise that almost every race was oversubscribed when entries became available.

Dave wished the Southern well for this year and even more success with their organisation in 2005 when the meeting celebrates its Golden Jubilee.

In accepting the framed and engraved photograph, Club Chairman, Phil Taubman thanked Dave for his kind words and ensured him that the standards attained would be upheld and improved upon.

Phil concluded by saying the photograph would be hung in a prominent place in the Club Headquarters.
