Kirk Ballaugh

History

Early church in the north of the Island. Extended and improved in the early and late 1700's. Refurbished in the mid to late 1800's. The church still hold services and has featured in film productions.

Location

The Cronk near Ballaugh in the north of the island.

By Vehicle:
Drive to the north of the Island and into the village of Ballaugh. Drive along the A10 to The Cronk, where the church lies on a corner.

By Bus:
The village of Ballaugh is serviced by bus routes no. 17 from Ramsey, no 50 from Ramsey and Peel and no 5 & 6 from Douglas, Ramsey, and Peel. From the village of Ballaugh, walk along the A10 to The Cronk. (Two miles)

By Railway:
Take the Steam railway to Douglas. Take the Electric Railway to Ramsey. From Ramsey the bus routes no. 17 or 50 to Ballaugh or if on bus no 5 or 6 get off at Ballaugh. Walk from the village of Ballaugh, walk along the A10 to The Cronk. (Two miles)
