Friends of Manx National Heritage Reach Out to a Wider Audience 15 August 2005

The Friends of Manx National Heritage (FMNH) have recently acquired an exciting new purpose built display trailer. With its arrival FMNH hope to reach a much wider audience than was possible before. The trailer opens out to show some wonderful graphics of the Island and Story of Mann sites and is intended to be a focal point promoting the work of Manx National Heritage and the Friends, meeting members and hopefully encouraging more people to join the Friends of Manx National Heritage.

Friends of Manx National Heritage With the assistance of a dedicated team of volunteers, the trailer will be used at shows and events across the Island throughout the summer and it has already been out and about at a variety of Story of Mann sites.

Nicola Pemberton, Development and Admin Officer for FMNH, said:

“It is so much more flexible than the old marquee and makes the job of promoting the Friends and the work of MNH so much easier. It will be a very valuable addition and we would encourage as many people as possible to come and see us”.

The Friends of Manx National Heritage shares the aims of Manx National Heritage to preserve, protect and promote the full range of Manx heritage. The Friends also seek to provide unified support and encouragement for the work of Manx National Heritage throughout the Island.

By joining the Friends of Manx National Heritage you can play a role in conserving the cultural heritage and natural environment of the Isle of Man for future generations to enjoy.

Members of the Friends of Manx National Heritage enjoy the benefit of free admission to all Story of Mann attractions, in addition to free or reduced admission to some 550 properties throughout Britain operated either by the National Trust, English Heritage, National Trust for Scotland and Historic Scotland. Members also receive free or reduced admission to properties controlled by the Trusts of Australia, New Zealand, The Cayman Islands and Bermuda.
