Isle of Man Taxi Unmet Needs Study ( Stakeholders Update Meeting) 20 July 2006

Members of the Island’s taxi industry and other interested parties met with Department officials and the study consultants at a meeting held on Wednesday the 19th of July at the Department of Transport’s head office at the Sea Terminal.

The Department wishes to thank all those who attended for their full and honest contribution to the meeting which will enable the “Unmet Needs Study” to continue. It is intended that a full report of the study will be completed by October of this year and will be made available to any interested parties.

The meeting was organised by the Department of Transport and attended by political representatives, several members of the taxi industry including representatives from the Manx Taxi Federation and the Castletown and Southern Taxi Association, representatives of the Road Transport Licensing Committee, directors of Transportation Planning International Ltd and officers of the Department.
