Security at Douglas Harbour 10 August 2006

The increased security level that now applies at Ronaldsway Airport and other airports in the UK is specifically due to an increased threat to aviation and not shipping. Therefore the level of security in operation at Douglas Harbour remains the same.

The maintenance of existing security standards at Douglas and all other UK sea ports is based on advice received from the UK’s Department for Transport, Transport Security Division (Transec). Transec are continuously monitoring the situation and will provide updated advice as required.
