Ladies Sports Mornings 12 December 2006

Manx Sport and Recreation, Sports Development Unit are running a weekly ladies sports morning starting on Monday 18th December at the National Sports Centre from 9.30 – 11.30am.

In a friendly and welcoming environment, there will be the opportunity to play table tennis, squash and badminton. A coach will be on hand to offer beginners guidance with the basic skills and rules and, for those who have played before, the sessions will offer the opportunity to rediscover the three court based sports.

Although the sessions last for 2 hours there is no pressure to stay on court as the concept is to have a fun, safe and enjoyable morning. Simply register at the NSC reception and sessions cost £2.50 including refreshments available from the National Sports Centre Cafe. There will be a great deal of importance put on the social element of the activity.

Sports Development Officer Gianni Epifani explained: ‘This is a great opportunity to embark on an early new year resolution to get more active, learn new skills, harness some old ones and have a great deal of fun at the same time.’

Although the first session takes place on 18th December the following two Mondays clash with Christmas and New Years day. From 8th January sessions will be run on a weekly basis. For further information please contact the Sport Development Office on 688592 or email
