Strang Road, Sir George’S Bridge – Road Re-Opening 18 December 2006

The A22 Strang Road, around the Sir George’s Bridge area, will be re-opened with effect from 5pm this evening, Friday 15th December, 2006 as scheduled.

The closure was to enable the Isle of Man Water Authority’s contractor for this scheme, Island Drainage and Groundwork, to install the raw water main across this stretch of road. This essential mainslaying work was carried out under the banner of the Authority’s Crystal Project which is the building of the new Douglas Water Treatment Works and its associated schemes.

Island Drainage and Groundwork Limited and the Isle of Man Water Authority apologise for any inconvenience caused as a consequence of this essential work and thank drivers for their patience during this road closure.

For further information on any aspect of the Crystal Project please contact Mary Doyle, Customer Liaison Co-ordinator, The Crystal Project, Isle of Man Water Authority on 682457.
