Isle of Man Film Releases Movie Map 9 February 2007

Ever wondered where Patrick Swayze stripped down to his red pvc thong in Keeping Mum? Well, a new Movie Map produced by Isle of Man Film will help you find out!

The Isle of Man Movie Map has been put together for those interested in Manx-made films, both on and off the Island, and contains details of the most popular film locations used along with images of the locations in use. It is hoped that the map will encourage people to tour the Island, taking in the beautiful scenery as well as learning something about each location used.

Minister for the Department of Trade & Industry David Cretney said ‘The Isle of Man has been the star of many great films and we are hopeful that the new Movie Map will appeal to those visiting the Island who would like to find out more about the Island’s film industry. The Film office receive a number of calls from people off the Island who want to know the location of the scenes they have watched in films made here and the Movie Map will help them do this.”

The Movie Map is available to download and print on Isle of Man Film’s website
