MSR prepare for action packed summer 7 August 2007

Manx Sport and Recreation (MSR) are preparing to deliver a summer of first class coaching to the Island’s stars of tomorrow.

Members of the MSR team recently gave a presentation at Keyll Daree, Nobles Hospital, to equip a new group of coaches with all the skills and knowledge needed to provide a summer of high quality coaching to the Island’s budding stars.

During the presentation, the new faces of MSR were given information on various policies and procedures including all aspects of Health and Safety and Child Protection.

MSR have taken on this new group of coaches to run the various summer schemes available to children during their school break. These include multi-sport fun sessions, soccer school and racquet day.

Aaron Quinn, Sports Development Officer, MSR said:

‘We are very pleased to welcome 14 new faces to the MSR team for the summer. These schemes go a long way to helping children develop their skills and keep active during their school holidays. I have every faith that our new coaches will deliver a summer of fun and high quality service to all those taking part.’

Schemes have already commenced and will run until September 4, 2007. Places are still available on some of the schemes. Anyone wishing to book their child a place should contact the Sports Development team on (01624) 688592 or e-mail:
