Spartan Hockey Camp Coming to the Island! 8 July 2008

On September 2nd and 3rd at the NSC astro pitch, there will be a 2 day Spartan Hockey camp.

Headed by Steve Bayer (England u21 and u18 goalie coach) and accompanied by international coaches and players, the Spartan Camp will be heading to the Island not long after being in Beijing where they will be involved with the Great British Olympic team! There will be two 2-day courses being held; one for junior outfield players and one for junior goalkeepers.

Costs for the course are £30 for both days or £20 for one day, which represented fantastic value for money for young players on the Island. Any hockey coaches who are able to get time off work are strongly encouraged to apply to attend the camp as the Spartans are quite happy for local coaches to come down, get involved in assisting with the routines and picking up knew knowledge and ideas along the way.

This is a great opportunity for players and coaches on the Island to get involved with some elite hockey players and coaches. Anyone interested in applying or finding out more should contact the Dominic at the Hockey Development Office on: (01624) 651572 or email: dominic.hobdell@gov.im
