'Along with the satisfaction obtained from seeing the long procession of students being recognised for achieving qualifications, it is always a great pleasure to see so many students rewarded with prizes for special achievement, so generously donated by organisations, businesses and individuals who appreciate excellence and achievement, understand the challenges that students faceand want to be associated with, and reward, their success,' said chairman of the school's Governors Barbara Brereton.

Guest speaker for the evening was the Chief Minister, Hon Tony Brown, MHK for the town, who gave an inspiring speech and spoke fondly of his happy memories as a student at the school.

Mrs. Brereton said:

'This was a night to celebrate the achievements and personal success of our young people.'
