Update on Government changes 4 July 2012

CHIEF Minister Allan Bell MHK has confirmed that his review of Government positions following the departure of Peter Karran MHK from the Council of Ministers will not be concluded until next week.

Mr Bell explained:

‘I had hoped to be in a position to announce a new appointment to the Council of Ministers early this week. But I am also using this opportunity to conduct a wider review of positions across Government including Departmental memberships, and that takes time to finalise.’

In the meantime Health Minister David Anderson MHK will continue in the additional and interim role of Minister for Education and Children.
