It's Magic 14 March 2005

Amazing things are happening at Douglas Youth Centre, in Kensington Road, on Sunday 20 March. The Youth Events Committee is presenting 'It's Magic!', with the Young Magicians of Mann. It was planned to stage one performance, in the afternoon, but all the tickets have disappeared - snapped up by eager families. As a result, an extra one and a quarter hour performance has been arranged, at 7pm. - early enough for most children to see the show and still be tucked up in bed in time for school the next day!

The show, suitable for all the family, includes some wonderful illusions, and one of the audience can expect to be sawn in half! Collette and Dominic McKenzie, Graham Smart, Melissa Dove, Lexi Watterson and Richard Betteridge will be performing in the main hall of the centre, which is fully equipped with excellent stage lighting and sound.

Organiser Mike Clague told our reporter that the young magicians have been practising their magical skills for many months. He said: "Adults as well as children will enjoy the show. Magic is increasingly popular at corporate functions, for instance, and a live magic show is a totally different experience from watching it on TV."

Tickets are available from the Youth Office in St. George's Court, tel. 686057.
