Ramsey Cottage Hospital

History

A hospital in the north of the island run by GPs. It comprises of 48 beds within two wards with other separate facilities run onsite. The original cottage hospital was opened in July 1907.

Location

In the town of Ramsey in the North of the Island.

By Vehicle:
Head to Ramsey in the North of the Island. The hospital has a small sign post marking its entrance which is along Bowring Road near Mooragh Park.

By Bus:
The hospital is serviced by a range of buses from the north of the island, including no. 12, 17, 18, 19 and 20. These buses can be accessed from Ramsey Centre and Bus Station.

By Railway:
Take the Steam Railway to Douglas and then the Electric Railway to Ramsey. Locate the Ramsey Bus station along Princes Road and catch a no 12, 17, 18, 19 or 20 bus to the hospital. Otherwise, walk along to Bowring Road and onto the hospital, which is not far away.
