IPA Annual Report 2004-05 Released 6 September 2005

The Insurance and Pensions Authority has released its annual report for the year ended 31st March 2005. This is the first time that the Authority's report has been issued in stand-alone format, having previously been included within the Government’s annual report. The Authority’s Chief Executive, David Vick, stated

“I hope that this report will be a useful document for people wishing to understand the structure, policies and responsibilities of the Authority. The report represents a further step in the Authority’s commitment to demonstrating openness and transparency in all aspects of its work.
It is vital to ensure that the Island maintains a strong, well regulated insurance and pensions sector within a framework that conforms with international regulatory best practice while remaining attractive to high quality business. Achieving the correct balance is a continuing challenge as the market, and the external forces that act upon it, develop apace. I hope that the annual report will help to clarify how the Authority goes about achieving this and its other aims and objectives.”

A copy of the report can be viewed or downloaded by clicking on the link below. The Authority intends to distribute the report principally in electronic form. However, hard copies of the report will shortly be available from the Authority upon request.
