Originally from the Isle of Man, Carol trained at Edge Hill College in Lancashire and took her first teaching post at Freehold Community School in Oldham before returning to the Island in 2001.

Now residing in the south of the Island with her partner, John (a lecturer in business studies), Carol enjoys ski-ing, motor- boating and walking in her spare time.

When asked for her thoughts for the future, Carol said " We live in a world that is rapidly changing, and as a consequence we need to equip our children with the skills they will need in order to succeed in the 21st Century. My main aim is to provide a broad, balanced, enriched environment and curriculum, that will inspire and motivate children, staff and all members of the community, to experience the joy of discovery and to develop their self-confidence as learners."

The previous Head teacher at this school, Mrs Elma Higham took early retirement in July this year and Miss Tracey Willoughby has been Acting Head teacher in the interim period.
