The Ramsey Flush 30 November 2005

The Water Authority will be carrying out a flushing exercise in the Ramsey area throughout the night of Monday 12th December 2005.

Customers are advised that this action could affect the water supplied to some homes and commercial premises in the area. It is possible that the water supply could become slightly discoloured following the exercise, but this should only occur for a brief period.

The discolouration will be due to mineral deposits in the mains becoming disturbed by changes in the flow of water.

However, as a precaution, we have arranged for water bowsers to be in position at Shoprite car park, Ramsey Cottage Hospital, Ramsey Grammar School and Cummal Mooar Elderly Persons Complex on the morning of Tuesday 13th December 2005.

We apologise for any inconvenience this exercise may cause. If you experience discoloured water you should run your cold water tap in the kitchen until it clears or phone 695999 for assistance.
