Exciting Changes at The Sound Restaurant for 2006 11 April 2006

The visually stunning location of this Manx National Heritage site and the friendly service provided by ‘Chef and Butler’ are still the same. But there are some exciting new changes at The Sound Restaurant in 2006.

Joining the friendly and highly professional team at The Sound is new chef Robert Lewis. Robert comes with an impressive career history having worked at the Michelin starred restaurant in The Greenway Hotel at Cheltenham, the Ritz in London and the world renowned Gleneagles in the Highlands of Scotland.

Mark Walker, of Irvings Group Ltd, said:

“Opening hours have been extended, with The Sound Visitor Centre now open seven days a week from 10am to 5pm. New specially selected evening menus offer a variety of delicious food on Friday and Saturday evenings from 7pm until 11pm. A new bistro menu is available on Friday evenings and a new a la carte menu on Saturday evenings, serving a superb choice of fish, meat and vegetarian dishes”.

The Sound Restaurant is fully licensed and offers an extensive and exclusive wine list, which allows customers to dine in style and enjoy the spectacular scenery and amazing sunsets.

The team of staff at the Sound Restaurant has also been extended to meet popular demand and private functions, parties and receptions can now be catered for during the evenings. This totally unique Island setting together with the excellent cuisine will make that important occasion unforgettable.

The Sound Restaurant and Visitor Centre is part of the award-winning Story of Mann and is open seven days a week from 10am to 5pm. To reserve a table during the evenings or for arranging a private or corporate function, phone 838123 or 825703.
