Road Closure – Ballanard Road 27 April 2006

From 6am on Monday, 8th May Ballanard Road, Douglas at its junction with the A22, Strang Road (Abbeylands crossroads) for a distance of approximately 600 metres to a point at Ballacreetch bend will be closed to vehicles.

The road closure, which includes weekends, will last up to three weeks re-opening to the public after 6pm on Friday, 26th May, 2006. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

The alternative route for vehicles is Johnny Watterson's Lane to Ballafletcher.

The road closure is necessary to enable the installation through two road crossings of the new Douglas Raw Water Main. The Authority apologises for the inconvenience caused.
