Gynaecology Services receive a generous donation from Rushen Masonic Ladies Evening 15 August 2006

Gynaecology Services receive donationThe Department of Health and Social Security on behalf of Noble’s Hospital’s Gynaecology Services would like to take this opportunity to thank the Rushen Masonic Ladies Evening for their generous donation of £375.

The donation will be used to purchase a digital camera and printer. This will allow parents who have lost a pregnancy to have photographic memories of their baby.

Jackie Crellin, Ward Manager, Gynaecological Services, said, “Staff from the gynaecology services are very grateful for this donation. This will allow us to provide a special service that will ensure eternal memories and be a long-term comfort for grieving parents.”

The money was raised by a tombola held at the Rushen Masonic Ladies Evening and the cheque was presented by the Worshipful Master, Mr Ian McLoughlin and his wife, Lynne on 9th August 2006.

Mr McLaughlin said, “I am delighted to make this donation and very proud that it will be used for such a good cause. As Masons, we try to help society as much as possible. Last year, after the national lottery, Masons gave the second highest amount in charitable donations in the UK.”
