Judging of the Department of Tourism and Leisure Photo Competition 2006 has been completed and finalists and unsuccessful entrants have been notified.

All the prize images can be viewed on the Department’s website by clicking here.

A total of 11 finalists have been selected for their 13 winning images which have been selected from more than 846 entries. The prize-winners found out which prizes they had won at an awards ceremony held in the Colonnade Suite, Villa Marina on September 29th.

Tourism and Leisure Minister David Cretney said:

‘We are delighted with the quality and quantity of entries this year, although the choice did give us some problems narrowing down the field. Surprisingly our new miscellaneous category proved very popular with 182 entries. Additional runner-up prizes were awarded in this category.’

The 11 finalists will share £5,700 of prize money. They are listed in random order below.
