Christmas opening hours 29 November 2006

Don’t forget the counter at Douglas Sorting Office will be open longer to provide greater flexibility to customers during the busy Christmas period.

From December 4 anyone wishing to collect a parcel can do so between 0700 and 2100 while parcels and letters can be posted from 0900 till 2100. (Items need to be sent before 1845 to ensure despatch to the UK and Overseas the same day. Any items posted after this time will be despatched the following day).

Customers also need to note that parcels we have tried to deliver won’t be available for collection until after 6pm on the day delivery was attempted.

Meanwhile the last date for sending letters, large letters and packets to the UK, as well as using Parcelforce 48, is December 20. While for Special Delivery, Parcelforce next day and sending post locally your last chance is December 21.

Mail bound to South and Central America, Caribbean, Africa, Middle East, Asia, Far East (except Japan), Australia and New Zealand should be sent no later than December 8, while mail to the USA, Canada, Japan and Eastern Europe should be posted by December 11 to ensure delivery before Christmas. Mail to Western Europe should be posted by December 13.

Also make sure you label your mail correctly by ensuring the postcode is included and post your cards and presents as early as possible so they reach friends and loved ones. The Isle of Man Post Office is committed to the highest service standards so please contact us on 664664 if we can help you.
