Tourism & Leisure Department welcomes's new route 20 December 2006

The Department of Tourism and Leisure has welcomed the news that is to extend their scheduled services to the Isle of Man to include daily flights to Belfast City.

To celebrate the launch of this new service, attired in Manx tartan kilts, two members of the Department of Tourism and Leisure team, Elli Sewell and Marlene Kneen, served a selection of Manx cheeses and samples of the cocktail ‘Viking Venom’ to passengers travelling through Belfast City airport on Friday.

Director of Tourism Geoff Le Page commented: ‘Extending the range of air services to the Isle of Man is great news for visitors and business travellers. The Department welcomes this addition to flights serving the Island and we believe it will help stimulate further growth between the Isle of Man and Northern Ireland, making it even easier for people to come here on holiday.’’s services will offer the choice of up to ten flights a day from both Belfast City and International airport offering travellers the option to travel morning, noon or night.
