Unlicensed Traders on Island 30 March 2007

The Office of Fair Trading and the Isle of Man Police are receiving complaints from concerned householders who have been visited by traders trying to sell jewellery.

Anyone who has been visited by the traders or has any information about them, e.g. the registration mark of any vehicle they may be using, should contact the office on 686520.

The Office would particularly like to hear from anyone who knows where the traders are staying.

DO NOT BUY ANY JEWELLERY FROM THESE TRADERS – they are operating without the requisite licences and there is no guarantee as to the quality of the goods they are offering.
