Finance & Corporate Services Section launch Telephone Payments 3 May 2007

The General Registry is pleased to announce that with effect from the week beginning the 7th May 2007, customer payment options have been enhanced by the introduction of a telephone payments service.

The service has been developed by the Finance & Corporate Services Section under the General Registry’s ‘customer driven’ strategic theme.

The new telephone payments service is being implemented on a trial basis initially and will include the following features:-

  • improved flexibility of choice and convenience for customers
  • acceptance of payments from most major debit and credit cards
  • dedicated telephone payments line with customer message and callback facility
  • receipts posting

The trial period for the service will run between 7th May and 13th July 2007 after which a review of the service will take place. The number for the telephone payments line is 686423. Please note that any general enquiries for the public counter should now be directed to the alternative number of 687505.
