Leadership and Review of Isle of Man Finance 25 June 2007

As part of its commitment to economic development and diversification, the Treasury wishes to place a two year contract for the leadership and strategic review of the functions and structure of Financial Services Division, otherwise referred to as Isle of Man Finance.

This will require a high powered individual with an exceptional blend of experience, skills and an existing network of high level business contacts across a wide range of financial services sectors. It will require dynamism, personality, presence and a strong focus on the delivery of results.

Tenders are invited from suitable persons or exceptionally bodies and will be considered within Government’s usual tender processes and the relevant documentation, which is available from Mr M. Shimmin, Chief Financial Officer, The Treasury, Government Office, Bucks Road, Douglas, Isle of Man IM1 3PU, telephone 01624 685586, e-mail mark.shimmin@treasury.gov.im or at www.gov.im/treasury.

Tenders will be evaluated by representatives of the Treasury supported, as appropriate by representatives of its Isle of Man Finance Steering Group. Applicants whose tenders are selected for the final round of evaluation may be required to make a formal presentation.

As part of the tender submission applicants should provide, amongst other things, details of their experience, expertise, qualifications in relation to both leadership and strategic review of the direction, functioning and structure of financial services related organisations.

The Treasury is seeking an exceptional individual and it will be the quality of the blend of skills, experience and attributes which will be the determining factor. There will be flexibility applied in respect of the precise manner and timing of the operation of the contract, details of which should be included in the documentation submitted. The Treasury does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender received.

All tenders must be submitted using the Department’s Form of Tender and are subject to the Further Terms and Conditions of Tender attached thereto.
