Under the Stars 31 July 2007

The Isle of Man Arts Council in Association with Isle of Man Film will be staging a weekend of films screenings on a 35ft outdoor screen in the beautiful grounds of the Nunnery, now the International Business School, on the 7th and 8th September.

Entitled "Under the Stars" the two feature films chosen to launch this, the first of what is hoped will become an annual event, will be perennial family favourite GREASE (Cert. PG) which will be screening on Friday 7th September and the latest in the James Bond franchise CASINO ROYALE (Cert. 12) on Saturday 8th September.

"'Under the Stars' forms a very important part of the Arts Council's inaugural Isle of Man Film Festival and we hope that families and individuals alike will pack a picnic, wrap up warm and attend one or even both screenings," said Minister for the DTI, David Cretney.

Tickets must be pre-booked and are now available from the new IOM Welcome Centre based at the Sea Terminal priced at £6 for adults and £4 for children under 12 and Senior Citizens.

A dedicated website has been set up for the event, which will include further information on the screenings.
