Finley the Fire Engine on Cbeebies 31 July 2007

Finley the Fire Engine, Isle of Man Film's first animation project in conjunction with Balley Beg Studios, will be screening nightly on the CBeebies channel at 5pm and at 10am and 4pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

The 78 episode series is aimed at 2-6 year olds and centres on the adventures of Finley and his other truck-based friends, Captain Parker, Jesse the Tow Truck and Abigail the Ambulance. The aim of the series is to deliver important safety messages for young children and to teach them the concept of community, and creating and maintaining a harmonious society.

Minister for the DTI, David Cretney said, "It is fantastic to see Isle of Man Film's first animation project achieving a regular prime spot on such a popular children's television channel as CBeebies."

Balley Beg Studios have recently completed work on their latest animation, Freefonix, and are set to begin work shortly on their next project Ironman, based on the Marvel Comics action hero.
