Restrictions on postal deliveries 6 August 2007

In line with guidelines issued by the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry following the outbreak of Foot and Mouth disease at a farm in Surrey, Isle of Man Post Office will not be making any postal deliveries to any farm, stables and other properties with livestock today.

Those customers affected by this restriction may collect their mail from their local delivery office (Douglas IM1-4, Peel IM5, Southern Delivery Office IM9 and Ramsey IM6-8).

Any customers with any concerns can contact the Customer Services Team on 664664.

The Isle of Man Government’s Emergency Planning Committee is due to meet later and an update on this situation will be made by Isle of Man Post Office.
