Collision on A5 Douglas Road 19 October 2007

The Department can confirm that a collision occurred this morning on the A5 Douglas Road involving a DoT lorry and a Protours coach delivering schoolchildren to King William’s College.

The incident happened at about 8.30am and the Department understands that one or two of the students received minor cuts, which were treated at the scene.

Director of Works Clive Callister said:

‘The Department’s vehicle was stationary and unmanned at the time of the collision.’

The Department is currently reconstructing the A5 Douglas Road between the Airport Southern Roundabout and the entrance to King William’s College.
