DHSS Drug and Alcohol Team thanks Ballamona Association for Mental Health 25 October 2007

The Department of Health and Social Security’s Drug and Alcohol Team today thanked the Ballamona Association for Mental Health for their donation towards 12 large prints, purchased for Reayrt Noa.

Steve Chell, Manager at Reayrt Noa, said,

“My colleagues and I would like to give a big thank you to the Ballamona Association for Mental Health for their generous contribution. The Prints have pride of place in the ‘outpatient area’ of our new building, where we hope they will be enjoyed by both employees and the public.”

The prints are from work by local artist, Juliette Petrarulo. Juliette is currently studying an art foundation course at the Isle of Man College.

The Drug and Alcohol Team provide various services to members of the public affected by substance misuse. These services include; harm reduction, education and health promotion, relapse prevention, alcohol and drug detoxification, acupuncture, Electro-Stimulation Therapy, and Family Support.

The Drug and Alcohol Team building, Reayrt Noa, was opened in September 2006.
