Pandemic Planning 19 November 2007

The Financial Supervision Commission is conducting a review with a sample of licenceholders in order to assess the potential impact of an outbreak of pandemic influenza and their planning for such an event. The Commission does not wish to overstate the likelihood of a pandemic occurring in the Isle of Man, but is seeking to ensure that licenceholders have adequate plans in place to meet core obligations to customers and clients at all times. Planning for pandemic influenza should therefore be incorporated into business continuity arrangements.

Following completion of the sample review, it is likely that some guidance will be issued to licenceholders.
