Car Parking on Loch Promenade Walkway for Christmas Shopping 22 November 2007

10.00am – 9.00pm every day from Thursday 29 November 2007 until Sunday 6 January 2008, subject to weather conditions.

The Department of Transport has again made arrangements for Christmas shoppers to park their cars on the Loch Promenade Walkway. As in previous years a one-way system will be in operation with the entrance near the War Memorial and exit at the Victoria Pier. Please take care when exiting as vehicles will also be entering and exiting the Bottleneck car park.

For safety reasons, the Department has suspended the cycleway on this section of the Promenade walkway for the duration of the Christmas parking arrangements and the Department apologises for any inconvenience to cyclists.

  • NO PARKING ON SEA SIDE
  • BEWARE OF WEATHER CONDITIONS PARTICULARLY HIGH TIDES & STRONG WINDS
  • PARK ON GARDEN SIDE ONLY – REVERSE IN ONLY
  • MAXIMUM STAY 3 HOURS – DISPLAY YOUR DISC – NO RETURN WITHIN 2 HOURS
  • BEWARE OF HEIGHT RESTRICTIONS AT ENTRANCE AND EXIT
  • LARGE VANS AND MOTORHOMES ARE NOT PERMITTED
  • DRIVE VERY SLOWLY, 5 MPH LIMIT - LOOK OUT FOR PEDESTRIANS.
PARKING ARRANGEMENTS WILL BE ENFORCED BY PARKING CONTROLLERS
