Financial Sanctions: Terrorist Financing 1 February 2008

The Treasury today directs that any funds or economic resources held for or on behalf of the individual named below must be frozen, and that no funds should be made available directly or indirectly to him, except under the authority of a licence issued by the Treasury.

Financial institutions and other persons are requested to check whether they maintain any accounts or otherwise hold any funds or economic resources for, or provide financial services to the named individual, and if so, they should freeze the accounts or other funds or economic resources and immediately report their findings to the Sanctions Officer at Customs and Excise. The individual was originally designated on 11 August 2006. Additional information is shown in italics.
