Income Tax Division Enhances Online Payment Services For Employers and Other Users 6 March 2008

The Income Tax Division of Treasury has announced the introduction of a further payment method for those users wishing to make payments via the Income Tax Division’s Online Payment Service.

Users can now confirm their intention to make payment by way of BACS Credit Transfer. This allows employers, contractors and other third party payers to submit their monthly remittance cards online, while requesting their bank (by internet, phone or other) to transfer funds from their account to the account specified. Payments can continue to be made online by way of credit and debit cards.

The introduction of the BACS Credit Transfer payment method delivers a further Government Online Service aimed at making it easier for individuals and businesses to interact with the Departments, Statutory Boards and Offices of the Isle of Man Government. A single online entry point gives users access to any currently available service, or service introduced in the future, that they wish to register for.

People interested in using the Government Online Service should visit http://www.gov.im/onlineservices and follow the registration instructions.

For further information please contact Income Tax Division Online Support on telephone number 651541 or via e-mail at onlinesupport.itd@gov.im
