New Signage for Visitor Accommodation 10 March 2008

The Department of Tourism and Leisure has officially launched the new signage for the Island’s serviced and self catering tourist accommodation.

All registered premises display external signage showing the rating awarded after annual inspection. The Isle of Man star rating standards are identical to those operated by Visit Britain, Visit Scotland, Welsh Tourist Board and Visit Guernsey to ensure that we meet customer expectation.

The new fresh and contemporary style of the signs reflects the Island’s ‘Freedom to Flourish’ identity and the Department of Tourism and Leisure’s new sunny logo.

Tourism and Leisure Minister Adrian Earnshaw commented:

‘The Department constantly strives to offer high quality service standards and the new modern distinctive signs reflect this. The raising of standards is crucial to the future development of tourism in the Isle of Man and we must continue to deliver a product of at least comparative quality to that offered across the British Isles and Channel Islands.’
