Queenie Festival Competition Winners Meet Hairy Bikers 13 August 2008

Last weekend’s Queenie Festival celebrations kicked off on Friday evening with a BBQ cooked and served up by The Hairy Bikers, Si King and Dave Myers, on Port Erin Beach.

Two guests of honour for the evening were Pat Vince and her partner Bill Whittaker from Hailsham, West Sussex, who were winners of the Department of Tourism and Leisure and Island Seafare competition prize draw at the recent BBC Good Food Show. They won a holiday for two people to the Isle of Man for the Queenie Festival and Marine Day celebration.

Pat Vince said: ‘

I was really happy to win the holiday for myself and my partner Bill and would like to say a big thank you to the Department of Tourism and Leisure and Island Seafare for giving us such a lovely weekend and a super surprise. I would also like to thank Kath, the proprietor at the beautiful Aaron House Guest House in Port St Mary, who was the perfect host.’
