Sir Peter Maxwell Davies at the Erin Arts Centre 15 November 2008

Master of the Queen’s Music at the Erin Arts Centre Friday 15th November 8pm The Arts Council is delighted to welcome Sir Peter Maxwell Davies to the Isle of Man for an evening at the Erin Arts Centre.

Sir Peter Maxwell Davies is generally acknowledged to be one of the foremost composers of our time. He lives in the Orkney Islands off the north coast of Scotland where he writes most of his music, composing in a wide range of forms and in many styles. Maxwell Davies is also active as a conductor and has recently completed ten years as Conductor/Composer of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in London, and Composer/Conductor of the BBC Philharmonic in Manchester. He is also the Composer Laureate of the Scottish Chamber Orchestra. Sir Peter Maxwell Davies was appointed Master of the Queen's Music in March 2004.

An Audience with Sir Peter Maxwell Davies will be at the Erin Arts Centre on Friday 15th November at 8pm, followed by a reception. Tickets are £15.00 and can be obtained by contacting the Erin Arts Centre Box Office on 83266. -ENDS-
