Financial Sanctions: Al-Qaida and the Taliban 29 September 2008

This news release is issued in respect of the financial measures taken against Al-Qaida and the Taliban.

The Treasury advises that on 26 September 2008 the United Nations Sanctions Committee removed one individual from the UN Consolidated List maintained under Resolution 1390 (2002). The individual therefore no longer falls within the sanctions regime maintained under the Al-Qaida and Taliban (United Nations Measures)(Isle of Man) Order 2002.
