Financial Sanctions: International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) 16 September 2008

This news release is issued in respect of the financial sanctions regime relating to the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia.

Following the publication of Commission Regulation (EC) No 895/2008 in the Official Journal of the European Union on 16 September 2008, the Commission has amended the list in Annex I to Council Regulation (EC) No 1763/2004 of those subject to the restrictive measures against various persons who have been indicted by the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia.

The amendment made by the Commission of the European Communities in Commission Regulation (EC) No 895/2008 takes the form of the removal of the following individual:

KARADZIC, Radovan

DOB: 19 June 1945

POB: Petnjica, Savnik, Montenegro, Serbia and Montenegro

Nationality: Bosnia and Herzegovina
