Financial Sanctions: Al-Qaida and the Taliban 26 November 2008

This news release is issued in respect of the financial measures taken against Al-Qaida and the Taliban. On 24 October 2008 the Treasury notified the addition of three individuals to the UN Consolidated List maintained under Resolution 1390 (2002), including Abdulbasit Abdulrahim.

HM Treasury have now issued a notice of direction in relation to this individual. This is because HM Treasury have reasonable grounds for suspecting that the names given below are identities used by Abdulbasit Abdulrahim.
